Tuesday, 10/23, 6:30-7:30P (1231 EB2) – FI Speakers Series Presents Larry Weber. The Fidelity Investments “Leadership in Technology” Speakers Series Proudly Presents Larry Weber, Head of Product Marketing, AWS Relational Databases w/ Amazon. His talk topic will be “From Ground to the Cloud: The Evolution of the Relational Database.” Speaker bio and abstract can be found at here. This is the 2nd FI Series talk for the fall. It is free and open to the public and approved by the CSC Graduate Oversight Committee to count toward the required lectures for graduate students.

Thursday, 10/25, 7P (Engineering Oval) – Centennial Movie Night featuring “Black Panther” – Students from the College of Engineering and across NC State are invited to and join the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering for Centennial Movie Night. The feature movie is Black Panther and the event is Free and open to everyone across campus. Popcorn and drinks will be provided while supplies last. Free ECE giveaways for the first 300 attendees.
Tuesday, 10/30, 3:30-5:30P (530 Venture II) – CSC GSA Tea Time – This is a no-pressure, social opportunity to relax with other students and faculty and enjoy some nice teas while away from your labs and work! Tea will be provided, but we also encourage you to bring your own favorite flavors. All CSC graduate students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
